Guide to Stalking & Harassment on the Internet
A guide to help parents and carers protect children from stalking and harassment on the Internet has been launched by The Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Sir John Stevens together with Diana Lamplugh, founder of the Suzy Lamplugh Trust.
The leaflet describes how stalking and harassment can include email, telephoning and texting, and provides some useful tips for youngsters on how to minimise such attention. The leaflet on how parents and others responsible for children can deter all forms of unwanted attention is designed for use at home, in schools and clubs, and by anybody with a responsibility for a child's welfare.
The full leaflet is available online at www.met.police.uk/stalking/leaflet/index.htm
